Call for Papers

 

We cordially invite submissions of exceptional quality that tackle the challenges and explore the opportunities associated with financial aspects of climate and related risks, ESG associated with the performance, investment, and measurement/ratings, and harnessing artificial intelligence techniques in the finance domains specific to the Asia Pacific region. The conference will adopt a dual-track format, encompassing distinct tracks for full-length papers and pre-registered research proposals. The special issue welcomes submissions by using data from Asia Pacific region in the following areas, but which are not restricted and limited to the following areas:

  • Financial disclosure, assessment, and management of climate risk
  • Connectedness of environmental risks
  • Impact of Ecological investment in green R&D on firm performance
  • Analysis the impact of carbon emissions on investment returns
  • The asset pricing and investment performance of ESG stock portfolios

  • Real effects of ESG and investing on firm behaviors
  • Data analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques
  • Modelling and forecasting asset returns and volatility

  • Financial market structure and microstructure
  • Empirical evidence on derivatives markets

  • Financial technology (FinTech)
  • Other topics related to data analysis in financial markets

Submission to Special Issue

Conference papers are invited to submit to the special issue of Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and Sun Yat-sen Management Review. Submission deadline is June 30, 2024. Submission fee must be paid and submitted papers follow the standard review process. Conference presentation does not assure publication in the special issue.
